This position is designed for a beauty professional who is not simply looking for a place to take appointments, but for an opportunity to be trained, developed, and established within a growing beauty company.
The role begins with an intensive training and certification period focused on DEW's signature head-spa experience. During the initial eight-week operating period, the associate will primarily serve clients on Saturdays and Sundays while learning DEW's service standards, products, systems, and approach to client care.
DEW provides all required back-bar products, service supplies, and equipment, along with marketing, brand support, and appointment opportunities. You are not required to arrive with an existing clientele or purchase your own products.

During paid training
$15 / hour
Training, shadowing, certification, and other required work time is paid.
After head-spa certification
The greater of$18/hour or 40% commission
Commission is 40% of service revenue. We compare both each pay period and pay whichever is higher.
A $195 head-spa service pays $78 in commission, plus 100% of your tip.
Plus
100% of client tips
Compensation for additional services will be explained as you become eligible and certified to perform them.

Training & certification
Paid orientation and product training, shadowing with Dominque, supervised services, head-spa certification.

Associate Stylist — weekends
Saturday and Sunday head-spa appointments, four per day after ramp-up, performance and client-experience evaluation.

Weekday transition
After completing the operating period and earning additional certifications, the associate may begin adding weekday appointments.

Full Associate Stylist
Head spa, scalp care, silk presses, and natural-hair styling.
Transition into weekday or full-time hours is based on successful certification, performance, client demand, reliability, and business needs. It is a defined growth pathway, not a guaranteed full-time schedule by a fixed date.

Who we are looking for
Requiredqualifications
- Hold an active Alabama cosmetology license in good standing by the start date
- Be consistently available on Saturdays and Sundays during the initial training and operating period
- Have selected weekday availability for paid training and shadowing
- Be able to report reliably to the Huntsville salon
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Be willing to complete DEW's training and certification process
- Be comfortable working as a W-2 employee
- Be willing to follow company service, sanitation, attendance, and client-care standards
Experience with textured hair, natural hair, shampoo services, silk presses, scalp care, or luxury guest service is preferred, but character, reliability, coachability, and foundational ability are equally important. Recent graduates and early-career cosmetologists are welcome to apply.
